A traditional Baroque work is brought into today’s cultural conversation, where art, technology, and community intersect. Bach’s masterpiece portrays the Passion of Christ based on the Gospel of Matthew.
The St Matthew Passion is part of the official Oulu2026 European Capital of Culture programme.
The performance is a multidimensional cultural encounter in which a traditional sacred work is given new life in a digital and communal context.
